Agatha “Geet” Boone, age 88, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Sanford Sheldon Hospital in Sheldon.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Rev. Marcus Moffitt officiating. Graveside Service will be Tuesday at 12:45 P.M. at Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk, Iowa.

Visitation will be Monday, June 25, from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon.

Agatha “Geet” Eleanore Boone was born on February 29, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was the daughter of Gustave and Rosa (Caracciolo) Rindone. She lived her youth in Council Bluffs and attended Iowa School for the Blind in Vinton, Iowa. After high school, Agatha was accepted to go to Coe College.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Lloyd Boone of Sheldon, Iowa on October 5, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived in Marion, Iowa before moving to Sheldon, Iowa. Agatha was a homemaker. She babysat and also taught piano lessons. Her greatest aspiration was to be a great wife and mother and succeeded at both.  She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sheldon, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Church Pianist, sang in the church choir and wrote materials for the Christmas programs.

Agatha wrote poetry and loved music. She played the piano, violin and accordion. She enjoyed collecting cookie cutters (she had over 1000). She liked to read Braille rather than listen.  Agatha will be remembered as a very giving and generous person. She thought of everybody else before herself. She was a great prayer warrior and modeled her life after I Corinthians 13. The book of John was her favorite. She lived what she believed.

She passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Sanford Sheldon Hospital in Sheldon.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 65 years: Bernard L. Boone of Sheldon, IA; daughter and son-in-law: Audrey and Robert Winter of Boyden, IA; two sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel and Lisa Boone of Glenwood, IA, Timothy and Lissa Boone of Belleville, IL; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Obie Rindone of Council Bluffs, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Fredrica Rose, son, David Paul, brother, Benedict Rindone.

June Kreykes, age 87, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon.

Memorial Services will be Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon. Rev. Kevin Muyskens officiating.

 Graveside Service will be Monday, June 25 at 10:15 A.M. at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

 Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. with the family present from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon.

Leland Rensink

Leland Rensink, 87, of Boyden, IA died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Avera Behavioral Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

A visitation will be held Monday from 4-8PM with the family present from 6-8PM at the First Reformed church of Boyden.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM at the First Reformed Church of Boyden with Rev. Chuck Asche and Rev. Brenda Stobbe officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Sheridan Township Cemetery of Boyden.

The Rensink family prefer memorials be directed to the First Reformed Church of Boyden.

Brian and Michelle ”Shelly” Engelkes

Delbert Wayne Fliear

Delbert Fliear passed away December 11, 2011 in Mesa Arizona at the age of 86.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 3pm at the Matlock Cemetery, located 1 mile south  and 1/2 mile west of Matlock. The family invites everone for fellowsip and lunch at the Matlock Fire Hall following the service.

Delbert Fliear was born December 20, 1924, the son of Arthur and Laura Fliear.

Delbert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Berylois; 2 daughters, Anita (Dennis) of Cedar Falls and Rhonda of Carroll; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also surviced by his brother Galen (Sharon) of Cherokee, and sisters Aletha (Wendell) of Los Angeles, and Gwenda (Elmer) of Matlock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry (Carol) of Matlock and Bill of Des Moines, and sisters Beverly (Gene) of Sheldon, and Marlys of the Detroit area.

Randy Goedken, age 54, of Sheldon, Iowa died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton, Iowa. Father John Vakulaskus officiating. Burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ashton.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Scripture Wake Service at 7:30 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton.
