58 year-old Paul DeMey of Melvin, IA passed away at his home in rural Hartley, IA, on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Baker Township Cemetery near Melvin.

There will not be a time of visitation prior to the service at the cemetery.

The Hartley Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements for 58 year-old Paul DeMey of Melvin.

Lucy Bosma, age 82, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Country View Manor in Sibley.

Memorial Services will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Christian Reformed Church in Sibley. Rev. Roger Bouwman officiating.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday, June 12 at 10:15 A.M. at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.

Visitation will be Monday, June 11 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

Hermina Muilenburg

Mrs. Hermina Muilenburg, age 92, of Orange City, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Orange City Area Health System Hospital

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, June 12, at 2:00pm, at the First Reformed Church in Orange City.  The Rev. Mark Haverdink and Mr. Andrew Klumpp will officiate.  Interment will be prior to the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.  There will be a prayer service on Tuesday, at 1:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Visitation will be after 4:00pm on Monday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the funeral home.


Janelle Ann Loger

Janelle Ann Loger age 81, of Luverne, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Funeral will be 10:30 am Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Terry Morse. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Veterans Home 1300 N. Kniss Ave. Luverne, MN 56156.

She was born August 13, 1930, in Lyon County, IA, to John and Flora (Kruse) Klinkenborg. She graduated from Rock Rapids High School in 1947 where she was elected Homecoming Queen. Janelle then attended Westmar College in La Mars, IA and taught country school in rural Lyon County, IA.

Janelle married Louie Loger on January 6, 1952, in George, IA. While Louie was in the service, the couple lived at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. In 1954, they moved to Rock Rapids. They moved to The State Line Farm in 1956 and in 1968 they moved to their current farm west of Kanaranzi. Janelle worked at Montgomery Wards in Rock Rapids, Iowa and was a bookkeeper at the Rock Rapids State Bank. She also worked in sales at True Value Hardware in Luverne.

She was a former member of the State Line Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was Superintendent. She was a current member of the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne where she served on the PWC. Janelle was a former Past President of the Luverne Lions 92; President of the Luverne Ladies Legion Auxiliary; and RSVP. She enjoyed volunteering at the Minnesota Veterans Home, golfing, music and visiting with family & friends.

Janelle is survived by her husband, Louie Loger, rural Luverne; two sons, Steven Loger, Lakeville; and Craig Loger, Victoria; four grandchildren, Christian (Andi) Loger, Lakeville; Anne (Josh) Barr, Eden Prairie; Laura Loger, St. Louis Park; and Jessica Loger, St. Louis Park; and two great grandchildren, Lucas & Grace Loger. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Everon, Elmer Jack, Kenneth & Ronald Klinkenborg.


Sarah Ribbens

Mrs. Sarah Ribbens, age 28, of Oak Park, Illinois, formerly of Hospers, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, June 9, at 10:30 am, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hospers.  Pastors Steve Dozeman, Nick Van Beek, and Josh Van Drunen will officiate.

Interment will be at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.  Visitation with the family will be on Friday, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at the church.  Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Hospers.

 


Loyal Monkemeier

Loyal Monkemeier, age 97 of Sanborn and formerly of Ashton, died on Monday, June 4th at the Prairie View Nursing Home of Sanborn.

Funeral service will be Saturday June 9th at 10am at the Ashton Bible Church in Ashton. Internment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery of Matlock.

Visitation with family present will be Friday June 8th from 5 to 8pm at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Ashton.

The Sliefert Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements.
