Sheriff’s Office Asks For Help Regarding Hawarden Burglary Report

Hawarden, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is trying to solve a burglary case connected to a theft that reportedly happened near Hawarden this week. And they’re asking for the public’s help.

The sheriff’s office reports that they investigated on Monday, a report of a theft that occurred from a farm property five miles northeast of Hawarden.

After some investigation, deputies believe that someone came onto the property and stole a 100-foot long 220-volt extension cord and several 75-pound front tractor weights from a tractor parked in the area.

They say that the crime likely occurred sometime between Friday, October 19th and Monday, October 22nd.
