Flood Warning & Flooding Danger In Area

Northwest Iowa — A Flood Warning has been issued for a river in one area of northwest Iowa, while two other locations in northwest Iowa are seeing river levels near Flood Stage.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Little Sioux River near Milford. According to the Weather Service, at 9:00 am Monday, the river level was at 13.2-feet. Flood Stage is 12.0-feet. They say the river rose above the flood stage Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, when stages of the Little Sioux in that location near 14.0-feet significant amounts of pasture and other farm lands begin to flood.

In Clay County, the Little Sioux River is near Flood Stage at Spencer.

In Sioux County, the National Weather Service says the Floyd River at Alton is near Flood Stage.

The National Weather Service reminds drivers to NOT drive through any flooded areas.
