UPDATE with Total Money Raised: Ag Partners Supper For Backpack Program

Sheldon, Iowa — A partnership of Ag Partners and Nutri-Blend raised well over $1-thousand for the Sheldon Community Backpack Program at a free-will donation meal held Tuesday evening during Open House at Sheldon Middle School.

Organizers of the fundraiser report a good turnout for the meal, and according to Nicole Anderson of Ag Partners, the event raised a total of $1,217.31, with 100-percent of the proceeds going to the Backpack Program. In addition, she says their partner in the event, Nutri-Blend has generously donated one meat stick and one container of shelf-stable milk that will go into the backpacks once each week, for every child, for three months.

The Sheldon High School Backpack Program sends backpacks full of nutritious foods home on Fridays with students who might not otherwise get a nutritious meal during the weekend.
