Bomgaars Cuts Ribbon On New Store Location

Bomgaars Ribbon CuttingSheldon, Iowa — After more than 20 years in Sheldon, Bomgaars found it necessary to expand into a much larger store than their original location just south of Highway 18 and Business 60.  Today (Friday, March 17th) the ribbon was cut on their brand new, 37-thousand square foot store located on Highway 18, just east of the Highway 60 interchange.

Speaking at the Ribbon Cutting, on behalf of the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation was Sheldon Economic Development Director Curt Strouth who said the first thing that came to his mind when entering the new store was, “wow!”

Sheldon City Manager Sean Hutchison said he was thrilled that Bomgaars chose to expand in Sheldon.

Cody Christensen is the Manager of the Sheldon Bomgaars store, and he said the new store should be a great store for a lot of years to come.

A member of the Bomgaars family, Aaron Bomgaars, was on hand for the ribbon cutting, and talked about the growth of their Sheldon business since the store opened here.

Store hours for the new Bomgaars store will be the same as they’ve always been, according to Christensen:  Monday through Friday 8 to 7; Saturday 8 to 6; and Sunday 11 to 5.
