Sioux Center, Iowa — A car was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Sioux Center.
According to Sioux Center Fire Chief David Van Holland, about 11:35 AM, the Sioux Center Fire Department was called to the report of a car fire at the home of Tom Sandbulte at 1573 Sunrise Circle in eastern Sioux Center.
The chief says the fire department saw an older car on fire as they approached the scene. He says they used water to fight the fire.
Van Holland says no injuries were reported.
He says the cause of the fire is undetermined, but the car was totaled in the fire.
He says they used minimal water to fight the fire, and crews were on scene for about a half hour.
