City Manager Applicants To Be One Council Agenda Topic

New-Sheldon-SignSheldon, Iowa — A discussion on applications for the City Manager position, probably in a closed session, is on the agenda for the Sheldon City Council when they meet this Wednesday, October 5th.  The City Manager position was left vacant by the resignation of former City Manager Scott Wynja, who left the position to accept a similar job in Sioux Center.

Other items on the agenda include a proclamation for Disability Awareness Month, the sale of a lot in the Sunshine addition and consideration of an easement proposal from HTC Communications.  HTC says that, for the purpose of burying fiber optic cable, they require an easement which begins near 1820 East  6th Street to serve areas to the South of that point.

In other business, the Council is expected to set the date and time for a public hearing on the rezoning of property, and consider approval of an applicant for the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:30 in the Sheldon Community Services Center.
