Could You See A Robin On Saturday? Yes.

Sutherland, Iowa — Believe it or not, not all robins head south for the winter. In fact, if you’d like to have bragging rights for seeing the first robin of 2019, your chance is coming up at an O’Brien County Conservation program.

O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea tells us about the winter birding program coming up.

She tells us they will have the help of a birding expert.

She says that some birds we normally think of as summer birds actually stick around northwest Iowa if conditions are right.

Again, meet at the Prairie Heritage Center at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5 for a day of winter birding.
