Discussion To Continue On Events Center

Event CenterSheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will continue their discussion on the proposed Events Center at their meeting this Wednesday, March 2nd. Mike Bell of RDG Planning and Design will be at the meeting to review the details of the project. Then, according to their projected timeline, the Council will put the project out for bids at the March 16th meeting.  At that time they will also set a time and date for a public hearing on the project.

The agenda for Wednesday’s meeting includes a public hearing on the City’s budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year, as well as consideration of support for the Northwest Iowa Regional Trust Fund.  Action on the trust fund was carried over from the previous Council meeting to give the City a chance to gather more pertinent information.

The Council will also continue their discussion with regard to SCAT staffing, consider the sale of a lot in Trilogy Village, and consider changing a Council meeting date.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:30 in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
