George Pair Face Felony Drug Charges

George, Iowa — Two people from rural George have been arrested on three felony drug charges.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that late last week, their deputies served a search warrant at 1886 Kingbird Avenue, near George.

Deputies say that during the investigation, information had been gathered from several sources that indicated there was both illegal drug usage as well as illegal drug sales taking place there.

Based on that information, a search warrant was applied for and received.

During the execution of the search warrant deputies report they located methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous drug paraphernalia items.

They report that as a result of the investigation, they arrested 46-year-old Shannon Lloyd Nagel and 38-year-old Sheila Marie Nagel and charged them both with Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a class B felony; Possession with intent to deliver marijuana and Failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies; Possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine and Possession of a controlled substance- marijuana, both serious misdemeanors; and Possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

In addition, 18-year-old Tanner Jordan Nagel was charged with Possession of a controlled substance- marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia, both simple misdemeanors.
