More Than 1200 Attend Kreibaum Benefit

Sutherland, Iowa — More than 12-hundred people turned out Sunday for a benefit for the family of Carly Kreibaum, who perished when a gunman opened fire on an outdoor country concert earlier this month. Kreibaum leaves behind her husband, Chris, and their two children, ages 9 and 6.

The benefit dinner, which was held at the R.L. Johannsen Center in Sutherland, featured a pulled pork sandwich meal with all the trimmings.

Sutherland residents have also set up two deposit accounts at Security State Bank in Sutherland, one for the family’s immediate use, and the second as a college fund for Kreibaum’s children.

A second benefit meal has been scheduled for the Kreibaum family, this one taking place in Carly’s hometown of Sibley. That event will be a Soup & Pie Supper on Wednesday, November 1st, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Sibley’s First Presbyterian Church, which is located at 601 6th Avenue in Sibley.

November 1st also marks the beginning of a benefit online auction for the Kriebaum family. Beginning November 1st you can bid on the items up for auction by visiting www.klaassenrealty.com.
