Northwest Iowa 9/11 Veterans Invited To Free Dinner And Show

Orange City, Iowa — Veterans who have served our country since 9/11 have a special opportunity at the beginning of the Orange City Tulip Festival.

Orange City Mayor Deb De Haan and the Wounded Warrior Project have teamed up to give all 9/11 and post-9/11 veterans and their families a free dinner and a show.

Bill Jackson, a volunteer leader with the Wounded Warrior Project tells us the opportunity starts at the Prairie Winds Event Center in Orange City on Wednesday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m.

He says you can contact him at (316) 941-6017. He says you can call or text, whatever you’d rather. Or you can email him at TopJack3460@gmail.com.

Jackson says if you can only make one portion of the evening, that is still great. He tells us how the idea got started.

Jackson tells us that they’ve also gone to Oak Grove Park near Hawarden for other veterans’ events. In fact, they’ve got an event coming up in June as well, and you can call him for more information.
