A series of weather systems will bring multiple rounds of rain to the area today. Forecast 24 hour rain totals range from a few tenths of an inch in the northwest portions of the area to over an inch and a half in parts of Iowa. Scattered thunderstorms are also possible, but these are not expected to be severe. The biggest threats will be low visibility in heavier showers, isolated lightning, and ponding of water on roads.
