Sheldon, Iowa — Several local dignitaries were on hand Thursday morning for the ribbon cutting at a new retail meat store in Sheldon. Babcock Meat Company is located on the north side of Highway 18, just west of the Pizza Ranch in Sheldon.
Sheldon City Manager Scott Wynja opened the festivities by welcoming Babcock Meat Company to the Sheldon business community.
Sheldon Community Development Corporation President Rick Nordahl spoke on behalf of the SCDC, and echoed Wynja’s sentiments.
Sheldon Ambassadors Club President Skip Tanner presented Babcock Meat Company with a plaque containing a section of the ribbon from Thursday morning’s Ribbon Cutting.
Josh Babcock, of Babcock Meat Company, says it’s been interesting opening the new business in Sheldon.
Babcock says that, although the business is called Babcock Meat Company, they feature other items. as well.
Babcock Meat Company is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday from 9 to 1.
