Sheldon, Iowa — RiseFest, the annual Christian music festival held in Sheldon on Father’s Day weekend each year, will be held this weekend at the RiseFest Grounds, located just north of Fareway on Country Club Drive in Sheldon. The 2-day festival will bring thousands of people to town to hear Christian music and speakers, along with numerous other activities for the entire family.
With the festival opening Friday, it’s now down to crunch time, and Lee Stover of Rise Ministries, the group that holds RiseFest each year, says the RiseFest family is in for a busy couple of days leading up to the festival.
Stover says the weather forecast for the weekend looks good, and he says the folks at Rise Ministries are thankful for that.
This year, RiseFest will feature a full line-up on the main stage, Friday night and Saturday. Stover talks about Friday’s schedule.
He says, as always, there will be plenty of music, food, and other activities on Saturday.
Stover stresses that RiseFest is about more than music.
