School Board Meets Wednesday

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education will review and discuss the proposed District Calendar for the 2016-17 school year when they meet in regular session Wednesday evening.  The Board first saw the proposed calendar at last month’s meeting, and will discuss it Wednesday, after having had time to study the document.

The Sheldon School Board will also hear an update from Superintendent Robin Spears on the No Child Left Behind requirements for 2015-16. Spears will also update the Board on the ESEA re-authorization from the Iowa Department of Education.

In other action, the Board will deal with one Open Enrollment Application, deal with a pair of teacher resignations, and take up two employment contracts, along with numerous other routine items of business.

Wednesday’s School Board meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the Sheldon High School Library.
