Second Workshop Scheduled On Crossroads Community Park

Sheldon, Iowa — The second of three Community Workshop meeting on the topic of the proposed Crossroads Community Park will be held Monday evening at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center.

The first workshop was held in early December, and generated a lot of community interest and input. Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth says Monday’s workshop meeting will be Step 2 of the preliminary phase of the project.

Strouth says as much public input as possible is needed to make it a real “community” park.

He says there are several “niches” that need to be included in the park, but also in the surrounding neighborhood.

Strouth says that, although there will be what he calls “preliminary sketches” on display Monday night, nothing is set in stone at this point.

He says that all the feedback and input from Monday night’s meeting will go into the preliminary plan, and go to an additional workshop that will be held sometime in February.

Monday night’s workshop meeting about the proposed Crossroads Community Park will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center. Strouth says he is hopeful they have as much interest in this meeting as they did in the December meeting.
