Sheldon, Iowa — Today is the deadline for Sheldon residents living west of Washington Avenue to pay their $15 fee and pick up their flag for the City’s Spring Clean-Up, which starts Monday.
Residents west of Washington Avenue have until 3:00 pm today to visit the Sheldon City Office and get their flag. You can also pay an additional $10 fee, and get a sticker, if you have an appliance or electronic device that you wish to be hauled away.
Sheldon City crews will begin picking up discarded items in the area west of Washington Avenue Monday, so items MUST be placed on the curb no later than 7 am Monday.
For those of you who live east of Washington Avenue, you still have a week to get ready for Clean-Up Days. Your deadline for paying the $15 fee and picking up a flag is 3:00 pm NEXT Friday, May 20th. Your items must be placed curbside by 7:00 am Monday, May 23rd, when pickup will begin east of Washington Avenue.
