The Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of the arrangements for 49-year old Brad Zimbleman.
Bradley Paul Zimbelman was born June 13, 1963 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, the fourth of six children born to Allen “Fritz” and Carol Zimbelman.
When he was 3 months old the family returned to their hometown of Winner, South Dakota, where he attended school until Junior High. He then moved with his family to Sringfield, Missouri, where his father attended college to become a minister.
After high school, Brad worked in Oklahoma in the oil fields and also worked in commercial construction. He moved with the family to Rock Rapids in 1987, where he worked for Heartland Electric, Rock Rapids Machine & Welding, and then Town & Country Implement in Rock Valley for the last 18 years.
On the 29th of July 1989, Brad married Liz Jaqua. To this union two sons were born, Cody and Cole. While the boys were involved in school he helped many other boys in the Lions Den Wrestling, and helped coach. Brad and Liz were very faithful to attend all their events no matter what sport it was. He was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples) of Rock Rapids, active as an elder and trustee.
He loved his family very much and was a dedicated worker in all that he did. He especially loved sharing his faith with everyone. He is survived by his wife Liz Zimbelman of Rock Rapids, Iowa; his children Cody and Cole of Rock Rapids, Iowa; mother, Carol of Winner, South Dakota; and five siblings, Bonita (Joel) Juillard of Sioux Falls, Doug and Mark of Winner South Dakota, Susi (Duncan) Brown-Reidl of Winner, South Dakota, and Matt (Amy) Spaulding-Zimbelman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; special nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Al “Fritz”; and his four grandparents.
