Folsom Transfers to Northwestern

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Austin Folsom has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

Folsom is a 5’8”, 165-pound wide receiver who transfers from Northern State University and played three years for the Spirit Lake High School football team. Folsom earned first team all-state honors after totaling 49 catches for 1,067 yards and 13 touchdowns in leading his team to an 11-1 record and state quarterfinals. He earned first team all-district honors two years and was named the special teams’ most valuable player. Folsom also recorded 36 catches for 846 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior. He plans to major in agri-business at Northwestern and is the son of Allen and Penny Brockshus and John Folsom.

“Austin is an explosive wide receiver with great speed,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He will make an immediate impact at our receiver position and we are looking forward to getting involved this coming spring semester.”
