Football Broadcast Preview for Friday September 21st

Northwest Iowa — It’s week five of the high school football season and the district schedule for Iowa teams begin tonight. Boyden Hull Rock Valley ranked number three in the latest Radio Iowa Poll will host Central Lyon George Little Rock in Rock Rapids.

After two weeks on the road the Orabs return home. They’re coming off a win at Estherville Lincoln Central last Friday that ran their season record to 3-1.  MOC Floyd Valley dropped a home game to state ranked West Lyon and is looking for their first win of the season.

The prime objective for the district opener is turn over margin.

That’s Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd who also talks about the strength of MOC Floyd Valley.

MOC Floyd Valley Head Coach Grant Hegstad is impressed with the Orabs ability to replace graduated talent from last year.

Hegstad’s key for the Dutch is to play a four quarter game.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley returns home to host Central Lyon George Little Rock in Rock Valley. The Nighthawks #3 in the latest Radio Iowa Poll with a 3-1 record after they lost on the road to Sergeant Bluff Luton, the 9th ranked team in Class 3A. Central Lyon George Little Rock got their first win of the season at Western Christian.

The Lions ball control offense has the attention of Nighthawks Head Coach Corey Brandt.

Brandt says making plays and getting off to a quick start will be important.

Lions Head Coach Curtis Eben says there’s a number of things that stand out about the Nighthawks.

Eben adds it will be important for his team to play to their roots and tradition.
