Northwest Iowa — Area 2A and 3A boys golfers attempt to qualify for the State Meet out of Districts Friday. Class 2A area teams and individuals will play Emerald Hills while 3A golfers will be at Dennison for the District round playing Majestic Hill.
Individual qualifiers from the 2A sectional at Sioux Center included Medalist Brock DeBoer from Sioux Center and Medalist Runner-up Tyler Merley Sheldon. Team mate Koby Klatt of the Orabs also moved on along with Cade Broek of Western Christian. Qualifying teams from the sectional at Sioux Center were Sheldon who won the team title and Western Christian.
Individual qualifiers from the 2A sectional at Landsmeer included Medalist Jaden Snyder of West Lyon, Medalist Runner-up Jay Small of Hinton and Ryan Fedders of Unity Christian. Qualifying teams from the sectional were Unity Christian, Cherokee and Hinton. Class 2A area teams and individuals in the District round will play at Emerald Hills hosted by Okoboji.
Individual qualifiers from the 3A sectional at Spencer included Medalist Tate Arends of MOC Floyd Valley along with team mate Trenton DeHaan. Qualifying teams were Estherville Lincoln Central and MOC Floyd Valley. The 3A District is hosted by Denison Schleswig at Majestic Hill Golf Course in Denison
