Atlanta, Georgia — The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have signed eight players to their practice squad, including linebacker Tyler Starr. According to the Falcons official website Starr, a rookie last year was among the final cuts as the Falcons got down to the 53 man regular season roster as mandated by the NFL.
Starr, 6-5, 250 pounds, was selected by the Atlanta in the seventh round (255th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of the University of South Dakota. He was a member of the Falcons 53-man active roster last season, but did not see any game action.
Prior to his time at USD Starr enjoyed a standout high school career with the Central Lyon George Little Rock football program.
