Larchwood, Iowa — #2 West Lyon advanced to the Class 2A District 2 final after defeating the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals 10-0 in five innings Tuesday night in Larchwood.

The Wildcats struck first in the bottom of the opening inning when Jaden Snyder doubled to center, and was later driven in by a Monte Pottebaum single. Pottebaum then came in to score off of a Mitchell Rentschler triple, and Dylan Snyders hit a two-run inside the park home-run. After one, it was 4-0 West Lyon. The Wildcats added another two runs in the bottom of the second to extend their lead to 6-0. West Lyon added four runs in the fourth and come away with the 10-0 win in 5 innings.
Snyder got the win for West Lyon after giving up just 4 hits in 4 innings of work.
Isaac Habben took the loss for the Generals. Habben went 3 1/3 innings, while giving up 7 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, and struck out 3.
West Lyon improves to 28-1, and will play West Sioux on Saturday at 7 pm in Larchwood. Sibley-Ocheyedan ends their year at 10-13
