IABRN — The U.S. Department of Agriculture is called the “gold standard” for crop reporting. This year, however, many farmers disagreed with their data.
In one instance, a death threat was made against the official who traveled with the Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour. I spoke with this man last week at the 76th annual National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention. He had an interesting story, from a statistician’s perspective.
