Global AgriTrends releases 2021 pork export outlook

IARN — A recent webinar hosted by the National Pork Board provided an outlook for U.S. pork exports in 2021.

The presentation was conducted by Brett Stuart, CEO of Global AgriTrends. Stuart noted pork exports are expected to decline slightly from 2020, which was a record-breaking year for U.S. pork exports. Pork exports reached nearly 3 million metric tons in 2020, topping the 2019 record by 11 percent.

Stuart says it’s important for the U.S. to sustain a diversified approach, meaning we invest in good solid core markets, but that we also develop and identify new markets where we can create value for the future.
