The O’Brien County Fair in Primghar will run from Friday, July 18th to Thursday, July 24th.
The schedule of events goes as follows:
Friday, July 18th
9:00 a.m. 4-H Non-livestock judging will take place at the Open Class building at the fairgrounds.
Saturday, July 19th
7:30 a.m. Open class Crafts and Flowers can begin to check in
8:30 a.m. Annual antique/Classic tractor ride. Registration is at the fairgrounds
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Swine weigh-in
10:30 a.m. Open class craft and flower exhibits must be checked in
11:00 a.m. Open class craft and flower judging
1:00 p.m. Sheep and goats must be in place
1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sheep weigh-in, goat weigh-in to follow
7:00 p.m. Auto races sponsored by Primghar Jaycees
Sunday, July 2oth
12:30 p.m. Horse projects must be checked in
1:00 p.m. Horse show
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Market Beef weigh-in, then pen of Three Beef
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rabbit check-in
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Poultry check-in
4:30 p.m., or immediately following the horse show: Dog show in the Admin building
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Lamb wash
6:30 p.m. Ecumenical Church service

Monday, July 21st
8:00 a.m. Goat show
– Advanced lamb pen evaluation (after the goat show)
– Sheep Show (after pen lambs)
– Bottle lamb show (following the sheep show)
– Clover kids bottle bucket lamb/goat
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Open Class Vegetable entries must be checked in
8:00 a.m. Breeding heifers, cow calves, feeder calves, bottle bucket calves must be in place
