Exciting things continue to happen at the Prairie Heritage Center! The annual Bison Burger Picnic and Lawn Concert sponsored by the Little Sioux Valley Conservation Association and the O’Brien County Conservation Board is a great opportunity for the public to see the changes that have occurred over the past year.
This year the highlight of the evening will be the observation tower! Climb to the top of the tower to enjoy the view! Funds raised this year will help with the construction costs for the platform. This project was partially funded by an O’Brien County Community Foundation grant. Del Walinga and Modern Woodmen of America has pledged to match funds donated up to $2,500.
The Bison Burger Picnic and Lawn Concert will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Prairie Heritage Center. Food will be served from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Bison burgers will be hot off the grill and served with side dishes and watermelon.
After the meal, enjoy a pleasant evening listening to music by Bill Carpenter and Mel Kimblad. They have proven over the years to provide fantastic music! Bring your lawn chair for the outdoor concert, and relax with your neighbors.
Tickets for the event are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for ages 5 – 8, and those under 5 years of age are free. There is a family discount for groups over four people. Advance tickets can be purchased from the Conservation Board, and tickets will also be available at the door.
Your attendance at this event helps make great things happen. Plan to join us for an evening of good food and great music at the Prairie Heritage Center.
