To celebrate National Blood Donor Month the Community Blood Bank will have a blood drive Thursday, January 23rd, at the Osceola Regional Health Center from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Then after lunch will reopen at 1:30 p.m. and stay open until 4:30 p.m.
Donors can schedule a donation appointment by calling the Lab at 712-754-5358. All those how donate receive a Subway gift card as a thank you gift.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form available at cbblifeblood.org), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Individuals displaying cold or flu symptoms are unable to donate. Valid identification is required at registration. It’s recommended to eat within 3 hours of donating blood, and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood.
