Saturday, June 14th, it is Family Fishing at the Sandy Hollow Recreation Area.
All ages are welcome, but kids younger than 8 need to have an adult present. Join Sandy Hollow Recreation Area at the shade shelter for a fun-filled morning.
The program will include fishing instruction, casting contest, fishing, lunch and giveaways. Fishing poles and bait provided, or you may bring your own.
There is no cost. Entry fee to park waved for participants during the event hours which run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Sioux Center Library and Sioux County Sportsman’s Club.
Those 16 years of age and older must have a valid fishing license to actively fish.
