Hunter Safety Field Day will be held March 14 at Prairie Woods Nature Center, with sessions from 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Youth ages 11 and older are invited to participate in this half‑day class covering firearm safety, hunter ethics, hunting laws, and more. A final exam will be administered at the end of the session.
Participants must complete two online steps beforehand: register for the class through the Iowa DNR at www.gooutdoorsiowa.com and complete the online course at www.hunter‑ed.com. Please dress for both indoor and outdoor weather.
