Saturday, Dec. 7th, it is kickoff to Christmas in Sheldon

From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. it is Eating with the Elves. It is a free kids breakfast located at Hy-Vee in Sheldon with a purchase of one adult breakfast.
From 9:30 a.m. to noon kids get the chance to meet Santa, located at the Praire Arts Historical Park on 1423 Park Street in Sheldon.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. it is the North Pole Vendor Fair. Shop for a variety of hand-made goods from over 20 vendors, located at the Community Building in Sheldon (416 9th Street).
At 10:30 a.m. there is a free showing of the Polar Express. Tickets are still required for this event and can be picked up at the SCDC office, or at the Sheldon Family Dental Clinic (1002 3rd Ave.)
Letters to Santa from 10 a.m. to noon at Blossom and Bride Botique (314 9th Street in Sheldon)
Make Your Wish List from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mastbergen Jewelry.
Candy Canes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. located at Touch of Hope.
Story Time and a Craft, starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Public Library
Free horse and wagon rides from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. located at the Community Building (416 9th Street)
Grin with the Grinch! Starts at 4:00 p.m. and runs to 5:30 p.m., located at 914 3rd Ave.
Parade of Lights begins 5:30 p.m. The parade route can be found at www.sheldoniowa.gov
