Who: Students in grades 4 through 7.
- Participants will be competing against students from Sheldon area schools.
- Students can get registration forms from Mr. Gude prior to the day of the event.
- Pre-registration will also take place that morning at 9:00 am.
What: Each participant will spell as many words correctly as possible.
- Students can get lists of words to spell from Mr. Gude.
- At that time participants will be checked in, assigned a contestant number, and directed to a competition room.
- The competition for each grade level will generally last for 30 minutes or less.
- As each speller is eliminated, each contestant and audience member are asked to remain in the competition room until the winner has been decided.
When: Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 9:30 am.
Where: Wansink Center on the Village Northwest Unlimited Campus
And…? Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age level.
- All participants will receive a certificate for participation.
- The top 2 finishers will also move on to regional competition
- Participants will also have an opportunity to win other prizes.
