McCallum Museum August Summer Talks

August Sunday Talks continue at McCallum Museum with Donna Houtsma and Leona Meendering speaking about the 1930’s Depression and its effects on farm families. They will discuss prices for farm products, planting and harvesting of crops-including threshing rings, effects of weather and hardships shared by many. How did they do it? Please bring and share old photos/post cards from this era.

Talks are August 11 & 25 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Free Will Offering with proceeds for the New Building—Farm Shed.  Refreshments served afterwards. For more information, call Janet Stofferan at 754-3710.
