The O’Brien County Conservation Board is looking forward to hosting guided/self-guided experiences at our parks this summer. Public programming will be taking on a new look this summer. Join the naturalist for a different kind of outdoor fun.
Coming up on Tuesday, July 14, participants can learn about things related to trees. Meet the naturalist at the large shelter to the east of the main entrance drive at Mill Creek Park. The event will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Drop by at any time between those hours. There are many tree species to discover within a short walk around the main park area. Participants will also have a chance to learn other interesting facts about trees. (Note this is a date change from the conservation board newsletter publication.)
The naturalist will welcome you and your group to give you an introduction and instructions. Take-home materials will be provided, and stations will be marked along the trail for your enjoyment. If at any point, your group encounters another along the trail, please announce your presence and allow a safe passing distance.
The naturalist looks forward to helping you enjoy and explore the outdoors. Families are encouraged to attend together. Look forward to more of these types of programs during Summer 2020.
