The Walking Stick Program will take place February 21 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Prairie Woods Nature Center.
Ron Oostra of Sioux Center will lead this hands‑on workshop, where participants will receive instruction and begin personalizing their walking stick.
Participants may bring their own dried stick (no ash, must be dried for two weeks) or choose from those provided. The lesson covers selecting, personalizing, and treating a walking stick. All supplies are included, and the program is open to all ages; those 14 and under must have an adult helper.
The class is limited to 12 people.
