Cornhole for a Cure Tournament at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center
The 9th Annual Cornhole for a Cure tournament will be held Saturday, March 7 at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center, 301 34th Avenue in Sheldon. Doors open at 11:00 a.m., with check‑in by 11:30 and the tournament starting at noon. The event includes door prizes, a live DJ, and food and refreshments. Cash prizes will be awarded: $250 for first place, $130 for second, $80 for third, and $40 for fourth. Entry is $40 per team, and participants must be 21 or older. Fossil, Artifact, Rock and Bone Day at Prairie Woods Nature Center
Fossil, Artifact, Rock and Bone Day will take place March 7 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Prairie Woods Nature Center. At this open-house style event, visitors are encouraged to bring fossils, artifacts, rocks, or bones they would like help identifying. Dr. James Mahaffey, retired Dordt University professor, will be on site with his collection and resources to assist guests.
Everly Community Dance – Featuring Riata
The Everly Community Dance is on Saturday, March 7th at the Hap Kettleson Community Center in Everly, Iowa. Live music will be played from the band, Riata. Enjoy a fun, social evening on the dance floor and dance the night away! Feel free to bring snacks to share, and everyone is welcome, whether you’re single or married.
