The Sheldon Public Library will be hosting a Senior Environmental Learning and Fellowship (SELF) session on Thursday, May 28th, from 10 to 11 a.m. O’Brien County Naturalist Kylie Holdorf will lead a program on humans, followed by conversation and treats.
Free College Essay Webinar for Rising Seniors
Families of rising seniors are invited to a free online webinar on Thursday, May 28th, at 11 a.m. on how to write strong college essays and personal statements. This session, offered through the ACT and the College Essay Guy, helps students get started on essays they’ll need for college and scholarship applications. Knevel & Kearney Duo Organ Concert at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars
International organist and composer André Knevel and Dordt University musician Dr. Michael Kearney will present a duo organ recital on Wednesday, May 28th, at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 First Ave NW in Le Mars. The performance will feature a recital on the historic J.A. Nordlie tracker organ. André Knevel is a Dutch‑Canadian organist known for his international concert tours, while Michael Kearney is a pianist, organist, and composer whose URC Psalmody channel includes more than 600 recordings of psalms, hymns, and organ music.
