Consolidated Machine and Tool is looking for a CNC Set-up Technician.
The CNC Set-up Technician is a full-time position that is hands-on with day-to-day duties that include ensuring the excellence of precision machining of quality products.
Essencial duties include:
- Programing and setting up CNC Lathe machines using programs generated by the engeneering department
- Inspects parts per print and in process documentation
- Prepares programs and all tolls needed for machining operations
- Installs jaws, tooling, programs, enters offsets and proves out machine
- Inspects first run piece and makes offsets as required, spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications (including documentation of results)
- Ensure proper hand-offs are done at shift change and when handing off a new set-up to an operator
- Performs other associated duties with machines, programs, tooling and training of operators needed to coninue the productive operation of MCM
- Train tool change points and documentation to all operators
- Recommends and helps implement any improvements that could be made to the exisiting process
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment through 5-S controls
- Ensures a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utlized, and ensures compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental related rules and regulations
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma/GED along with 3, or more years experience operating CNC machines is required.
A working knowledge of micrometers, gauging and comparator, familiarity with Fanuc controls, ability of read and interpret blueprint drawings/reading, a knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100, strong communication skills, effectively managing time, having self-motivation and being a skilled decision-maker are all a plus.
Work hours include day shift Monday-Friday 7:00 am. to 5:00 p.m., or night shift 4:50 p.m. to 3:50 a.m. You will also be asked to work partial Saturday day shifts, some partial Friday night shifts and other shifts as needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.
Consolidated Machine and Tool is also looking for Machinists I, II, III.
This is a full-time, hands-on position with day-to-day duties that include ensuring the excellence of precision machining of quality products
Essenial duties and major responsibilities include:
- Obeserving operations and regulating tool positions when necessary
- Performing accurate and timely inspections required by the traveler, quality control and management
- Identify and seperate all non-conforming parts
- Perform secondary operations and inspections, including deburring and cleaning of all parts produced
- Maintain the machine(s) includinig cleaning and lubrication
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained by utlizing appropriate safety processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other state and federal safety and environmental-related rules and regulations are met
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Machinist I is an entrely level position, or for someone with at the most 6 months of experience. A high school diploma, or GED is preferred.
Machinist II requires six months of experience, or more. A high school diploma, or GED is preferred.
Machinist III requires one to three years of experience with a high school diploma, or GED.
Special skills like the ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings, utilizing measuring tools, being adept at time management and multi-tasking, having experience with 5S controls, having a knowledge of ISO 9100 and AS 9100, being able to effectively manage time, are self-motiviated and being a skilled decision-maker are all a plus.
Work hours are dayshift from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, or nightshift from 4:50 p.m. to 3:50 a.m.
