Air Exchanger At Sioux Center Manufacturing Plant Damaged In Fire

Sioux Center, Iowa — An air exhanger at a manufacturing facility was damaged in a fire on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Sioux Center.

According to Sioux Center Fire Chief David Van Holland, at about 9:20 a.m., the Sioux Center Fire Department was called to the report of a fire at Link Manufacturing in northern Sioux Center.

When they got there, the chief says the fire department saw lots of smoke. The firefighters extinguished the fire and assisted with overhaul. It was originally thought that the building was on fire, so fire crews from Orange City, Rock Valley, and Hull were also paged to assist. But when Sioux Center firefighters arrived and knew what they were dealing with, the other departments were told thank you, but that their help wasn’t needed after all. The Ireton firefighters did respond to the scene, as they have an automatic mutual aid agreement with Sioux Center.

Van Holland says no injuries were reported in the incident.

He says the cause of the fire is undetermined.

Chief Van Holland reports that the damage was limited to the air exchanger.

He says the firefighters who responded were on the scene for a “good hour.”
