Alton, Iowa — An Alton man was taken to the hospital, and both vehicles were heavily damaged after a crash in Alton Friday afternoon.
According to Orange City/Alton Police, the crash happened about 2:30 Friday afternoon, when a 2010 Ford Escape SUV, driven by 30-year old Christopher Liberato, of Alton, was northbound in the 700-block of 3rd Avenue in Alton, when he struck a parked 2017 Ford F-150 pickup, owned by Brian Weber, of Alton.
Authorities say Liberato was taken to the Orange City Health System Hospital by Alton Ambulance.
Damage to Liberato’s SUV was estimated to be about $10-thousand, while the estimated damage to the Weber pickup was $15-thousand.
Orange City/Alton Police say their investigation into the crash is continuing.
