Body Of Drowned Sioux Center Man Found In Missouri River

Ponca, Nebraska — A Sioux Center man has drowned in the Missouri River in Nebraska.

According to the Dixon County Nebraska Sheriff’s Office, the body of 45-year-old Alfredo Olivares of Sioux Center was found in the Missouri River at Ponca State Park at about 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday evening. They had been searching since the initial call came in on Saturday evening, August 5th, around 5:00 p.m. The family has been notified.

Ponca State Park is about 15 miles northwest of Sioux City, or about two miles north of Ponca, Nebraska.
