Rembrandt, Iowa — A fire in northwest Iowa on Thursday night caused major damage at the site of Rembrandt Enterprises, a poultry facility north of Storm Lake.

The poultry facilities were empty at the time of the fire.
Six fire departments from Buena Vista County responded to the fire. Assistance was also provided by departments from Cherokee, Clay, and Pocahontas counties. Support was also provided by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office, BVRMC Ambulance, Sioux Rapids Ambulance, BV and Cherokee County Emergency Management, and more.
