Hospers, Iowa — Fifty acres of stalks burned in a field fire on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, near Hospers.
According to Hospers Fire Chief Jason Overmole, at about 12:10 p.m., the Hospers Fire Department was called to the report of a large field fire near 410th Street and Monroe Avenue, three miles east and a mile south of Hospers.
The chief says the fire department saw the field on fire as they approached the scene.
