George, Iowa — A George man was arrested on Tuesday on a felony charge of sexual abuse.
According to the criminal complaint in the case, 44-year-old Christopher Karalius had sexual contact with a 22-year-old female against her will in February of this year.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Karalius was charged on Tuesday, July 20th, with Sexual Assault 3rd Degree, which is a class C Felony. The charges were the result of the ongoing investigation conducted by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Court records indicate Karalius’s initial appearance on the charge is set for Tuesday, August 24th in Lyon County District Court in Rock Rapids.
If convicted of a Class C Felony, Karalius could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of between a thousand and ten thousand dollars.
