Spencer, Iowa — A Hartley woman was injured in a crash in which a Spencer man died on Tuesday morning.
The head-on collision happened on Clay County Road B24 just west of 190th Avenue on the west edge of Spencer.
The Iowa State Patrol says 35-year-old Ryan Cundiff of Spencer was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on County Road B24, and 20-year-old Gabriel Campbell of Hartley was driving a 2014 GMC Acadia eastbound. Troopers say the vehicle driven by Cundiff crossed the center line and collided with the one driven by Campbell.
Cundiff was pronounced dead at the scene; Campbell and a 5-year-old child were injured and were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
The Patrol says the collision took place a little before 7:30 am.
