Hudson Man Taken To Hospital After Crash

Rock Valley, Iowa — A Hudson, South Dakota man was taken to a hospital after a crash near Rock Valley on Tuesday.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says around noon, 25-year-old Kaden Teunissen of Hudson was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta westbound on Coolidge Avenue, three miles west of Rock Valley, when he entered a curve in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle, which entered the west ditch and rolled.

The Rock Valley Ambulance Squad took Teunissen to Hegg Health Center.

The Volkswagen sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage.

Teunissen was charged with failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt.

The sheriff’s office tells us the Rock Valley Police Department, Rock Valley Fire Department, and Rock Valley Ambulance Squad assisted with the response to the accident.
