Inwood, Iowa — The Inwood Fire Department was called out on Friday, June 5, 2020.
According to Inwood Fire Chief Troy Van Beek, about 5:15 p.m., the Inwood Fire Department was called to the report of a ditch fire near 260th Street and Buchanan Avenue, two miles south and about two miles west of Inwood on the Beloit road.
The chief says the fire department saw TWO ditch fires about a mile apart as they approached the scene. He says they used water to fight the fire.
Van Beek says no injuries were reported.
He says the cause of the fire is undetermined.
Chief Van Beek reports the firefighters who responded were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
