Rock Rapids, Iowa — An Inwood man has been arrested on a felony sex abuse charge after an incident in Rock Rapids in August.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Jesus Mata of Inwood is accused of initiating sexual contact without consent. He was arrested on Monday.
He was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. If convicted, Mata could face up to ten years in prison.
No court dates have been set in the case yet.
At last report, Mata remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
